Wide receiver wearing wrist tape?

i wore wrist tape last year but i mainly blocked as a reviver...so this year do you think i should wear wrist tape as a receiver if i'm going to be blocking and catching a lot? will it inhabit my catching? i see pros like wes welker and hines ward do it all the time.
