The best muffler for harley?

vance and hines slip ons or vance and hines short shot staggard the full pipe. i am going to change the air cleaner to a screaming eagle super flow, and a stage one down load, just would like to know witch pipe is better and also, are both pipes going to make my harley run hot. i have a 883 low. thier is a 25 dollar price deffernts in pipes. also, i only have 170 miles on it, should i wait untill breakin 1000 miles before i change it all, or does it matter if i do it now. thanks
